The vision of Brahman International was conceived and proclaimed by His Holiness Yugacharya Sri Acharya Prabhakar Mishra on the occasion of “Devotthan Ekadashi” of 1982 in the FICCI auditorium in NEW Delhi. Brahman(ब्राह्मण) is also called “Bhudev” “भूदेव” meaning Earthly god and this organization is created to wake and re sanctify this godly aspect within each and every Brahman, Devotthan Ekadashi was chosen aptly for this divine purpose. Brahmans from length and breadth of the country and abroad were assembled to initiate the first international movement for all Brahmans irrespective of divisions, sub-divisions and language barriers.
This is a registered organization under the societies act. The chapters in most of the Indian states are in progress and others are being established. Multiple local and sect-based Brahmin organizations have joined us and many have seeked a memorandum of association. Brahmans have to come united and on one stage if they desire to secure their place in the future and maintain their glorious past.
After his holiness Yugacharya Sri Prabhakar Mishra went on and joined the supreme sole, his elder son Pt. Uday Mishra was urged unanimously to carry on the mental of Brahman International. He is currently holding the post of “Parmadhyaksha” of the organization.
